Why is an allergy test for Brow Henna important?Updated a day ago

As a professional, you want to work with confidence, and that includes working carefully. That’s why carrying out an allergy test is essential, especially when a client is having a henna treatment for the first time.

Our henna contains a small amount of p-phenylenediamine (PPD). Although this is within safe limits, it may cause an allergic reaction in some cases. By testing beforehand, you avoid surprises and work responsibly.

How do you perform an allergy test?

Apply a small amount of henna to a discreet area of the skin 48 hours before the treatment, for example behind the ear or inside the elbow. Always use a dark shade for the test, such as Ash Brown or Raven, even if you plan to use a lighter colour during the treatment.

Leave the product on, then remove it afterwards. If the skin stays calm in the hours and days after the test, the treatment can be carried out safely.
